Teo Lay Lim
Lay Lim currently serves as Chairperson of Accenture in Singapore.
She joined Accenture on 1 March, 1988. In her 33 year career at Accenture, she has worked across the dimensions of Accenture’s business – managing client portfolios, growing cross-industry management consulting practices, and leading a geographic entity. What has characterized her career has been the pursuit of ‘white space’, starting up new businesses and entities and building foundations for growth and scale. These include the Customer Relationship Management practice in 2000, Accenture Analytics and Accenture Sustainability Services in 2008 – for the Asia Pacific Region – and the SouthEast Asia entity in 2011.
Her international experience includes being a member of the global leadership team for a global transformation for a French MNC – based in Paris and then Seoul, and a two year stint in Shanghai in 2006. Beyond this she has built and led multinational teams and a business in Singapore and SouthEast Asia for a business which includes 38 nationalities.
Lay Lim believes in Accenture’s vision statement that seeks to improve the way the world works and lives. She is highly passionate about bringing the global capabilities and experience of the firm to contribute to building future generations of Singaporean leaders and businesses, and in being part of the fabric of our national agenda. To that end, outside of Accenture, she serves on the Boards of the Institute for HR Professionals and the Singapore Accountancy Commission. She also chairs the External Review Panel for Polytechnics and ITE, an appointment by the Ministry of Education, and has completed the current term on the Future Economy Council.
